Elaine Moss was born in Leeds, Yorkshire in 1938. Following the war and its aftermath which had a profound influence on her, she became interested in what happened to individuals when they died. The author pursued her interest in the subject as the years went by and has studied spiritual and psychical matters in great detail.

Now a widow, Elaine spends time engaging in her hobbies of cooking and sewing, as well as gardening (herbs and apple trees being of particular interest) and is also interested in woodwork and DIY activities. She enjoys listening to classical music and plays the electronic organ. Despite this busy life style she has also found time to place her spiritual experiences down on paper and has successfully written this book which should appeal to all of those amongst us who believe they have an open mind.
